Úspešná premiéra judo-rytierov v novej hale
Predstavte si miesto, kde sa šport stretáva s odvahou, priateľstvo s fair play a deti ukazujú, že aj malé kroky vedú k veľkým víťazstvám. Takýmto miestom bola v sobotu 23. novembra 2024 nová športová hala v Rohožníku, ktorá ožila bojovnou atmosférou a nadšením mladých judistov. Tradičná súťaž Judo rytieri z Rohožníka prilákala nielen športovcov, ale aj podporovateľov tohto krásneho bojového umenia, a ukázala, že judo nie je len o technikách a medailách, ale najmä o hodnotách, ktoré si deti nesú so sebou aj mimo tatami.
Bola to výnimočná udalosť, ktorá priniesla nielen športové zážitky, ale aj nezabudnuteľnú atmosféru plnú súdržnosti a priateľstva. Tento ročník priniesol mnoho nového – od priestoru až po organizáciu. Technické problémy na začiatku síce narobili trochu starostí, no vďaka trpezlivosti a ochote všetkých prítomných sa ich podarilo rýchlo vyriešiť. Najväčšou odmenou pre nás však boli úsmevy na tvárach detí, ktoré odchádzali spokojné.
Na súťaži sa zúčastnilo 26 našich judistov, ktorí ukázali svoju šikovnosť a vybojovali si 5 zlatých, 5 strieborných a 8 bronzových medailí. Hoci som mala tento rok plné ruky práce a nevidela som žiadny zápas až do konca, od trénerov viem, že výkony našich detí boli výborné. Deti tentokrát zvládli oveľa viac než len zápasy – pomáhali pri časomierach, v bufete a podieľali sa na príprave celej súťaže. Ich nasadenie a odhodlanie boli obdivuhodné.
Za úspech tejto akcie vďačíme tímu oddaných ľudí. Rozhodcovia odviedli skvelú prácu na tatami, naši judisti spoľahlivo obsluhovali časomiery, zdravotníčka bola pripravená zasiahnuť (našťastie sme ju takmer nepotrebovali) a bufetová partia zabezpečila občerstvenie pre všetkých. Ďakujeme aj Romanovi Rečnému za požičanie kávovaru, Rišovi Hunákovi za dopravu a pomoc s organizáciou, rodine Čiljakovcov za technické vybavenie, Lucke Dinušovej a ďalším mamičkám za famózne domáce koláče, trénerom Ivovi, Gabovi a Katke za koučovanie a registráciu účastníkov, Danovi Kassayovi, správcovi haly, za jeho ochotu a pomoc, a Marošovi Hvolkovi, ktorý bravúrne zvládol úlohu administrátora súťaže.
Osobitné poďakovanie patrí našim sponzorom. Hlavnými sponzormi sú Obec Rohožník a firma Danucem slovensko, ktorí podporili projekt „Tatami pre viac športujúcich detí“ v grantovom programe Náš Rohožník. Aj vďaka tejto podpore sme mohli zabezpečiť 3 kompletné súťažné plochy. Nezabúdame ani na predchádzajúcu pomoc od Bratislavského samosprávneho kraja, ktorý nám už skôr pomohol s nákupom žinenky. Pri každom jej použití si na to s vďakou spomenieme. Za čerstvé ovocie pre deti ďakujeme MS Ovocie zelenina, za čerstvé, chrumkavo vypečené rožteky firme Framipek a Lucke Dinušovej za úžasné koláče a tortu pre deti aj organizátorov.
Táto súťaž opäť dokázala, že judo nie je len šport, ale aj spôsob, ako budovať priateľstvá, spoluprácu a komunitného ducha. Bez pomoci všetkých – rodičov, detí, trénerov, rozhodcov a dobrovoľníkov – by sme to nezvládli. Tento ročník Judo rytierov z Rohožníka bol ďalším dôkazom, že to celé má zmysel. Tešíme sa na ďalšie stretnutia na tatami a ďakujeme všetkým, ktorí boli súčasťou tohto skvelého dňa!

ENGLISH: A Successful Premiere of the Judo Knights in the New Hall
Imagine a place where sport meets courage, friendship meets fair play, and children show that even small steps can lead to great victories. That place was the brand-new sports hall in Rohožník on Saturday, November 23, 2024, which came alive with the fighting spirit and excitement of young judokas. The traditional Judo Knights of Rohožník tournament attracted not only athletes but also supporters of this beautiful martial art, showing that judo is not just about techniques and medals, but above all about the values children carry with them beyond the tatami.
It was an exceptional event, bringing not only athletic performances but also an unforgettable atmosphere full of solidarity and friendship. This year’s edition brought many new things—from the venue to the organization. Although some technical issues caused minor troubles at the start, thanks to the patience and willingness of everyone involved, they were quickly resolved. The biggest reward for us, however, were the smiles on the children’s faces as they left happy and satisfied.
Twenty-six of our judokas took part in the competition, showcasing their skills and earning 5 gold, 5 silver, and 8 bronze medals. Although this year I was so busy I didn’t see a single match all the way through, I heard from the coaches that the performances of our children were excellent. And the kids achieved much more than just victories on the tatami—they helped with timing, worked at the buffet, and contributed to preparing the entire event. Their commitment and determination were admirable.
The success of this event was thanks to a team of dedicated people. Referees did an excellent job on the tatami, our judokas reliably managed the scoreboards, the medic was ready to step in (though, thankfully, rarely needed), and the buffet team kept everyone refreshed. We also thank Roman Rečný for lending us the coffee machine, Rišo Hunák for transport and help with organization, the Čiljak family for providing technical equipment, Lucka Dinušová and other mothers for fantastic homemade cakes, coaches Ivo, Gabo, and Katka for coaching and registering participants, Dan Kassay, the hall manager, for his support and assistance, and Maroš Hvolko, who handled the role of competition administrator brilliantly.

Thanks to this support, we were able to secure three complete competition areas. We also remember with gratitude the earlier help from the Bratislava Self-Governing Region, which had supported us in purchasing tatami mats. Every time we use them, we recall this with appreciation. Thanks also to MS Ovocie Zelenina for fresh fruit for the children, Framipek for freshly baked crunchy rolls, and once again to Lucka Dinušová for her amazing cakes and a cake for the kids and organizers.
This competition once again proved that judo is not only a sport but also a way to build friendships, cooperation, and community spirit. Without the help of everyone—parents, children, coaches, referees, and volunteers—we couldn’t have done it. This year’s Judo Knights of Rohožník was yet more proof that all of this has meaning. We look forward to the next meetings on the tatami and thank everyone who was part of this wonderful day!
