Judo rytieri z Rohožníka 2023

Se vemete, se nevemete, se vemete... Takto zhruba to vyzeralo s tohtoročnou súťažou Judo rytieri z Rohožníka. Ale nakoniec sa potvrdilo, že keď sa chce, všetko sa dá. Sme nesmierne radi, že toľko ľudí chcelo. Sme radi za trénerov okolitých judoklubov, ktorí mi volali, že po minulom roku sa k nám deti veľmi tešia a nech tento ročník určite nerušíme. A sme ešte radšej, že nám k tomu ponúkli aj pomoc a boli ochotní nielenže prísť, ale aj pomôcť s rozhodovaním. Všetci zúčastnení vytvorili krásnu priateľskú atmosféru. Nikto nekričal, nik sa nehneval a všetci sa snažili pomôcť, ako mohli.

Ďakujeme skvelým kamarátom, že znovu oprášili svoje rozhodcovské odznaky a vedomosti (zistili, že už nie je koka, ani yuko) a nakoniec vyzeralo, že ich to aj vcelku baví. Ďakujeme Lenke Bies-Piváčkovej, že tak bravúrne zvládla rolu zapisovateľa/hlásateľa a Marošovi Hvolkovi za to, že jej celý čas pomáhal a okrem toho robil počas celej súťaže technickú podporu.

Ďakujeme trénerom z ostatných judoklubov, že pomohli s losovaním, aj rozhodovaním.

Ďakujeme Ivovi Raškovi a Katke Kubišovej, že sa postarali o naše decká a s každým jedným z nich stáli na žinenke (viem, koľko taká podpora pre tie deti znamená).

Ďakujeme partii v bufete, vďaka vám sme neumreli od hladu a od smädu a ešte sme získali pre decká aj nejaké peniažky navyše.

Ďakujeme sponzorovi Berto za mäsové výrobky.

Ďakujeme aj obci Rohožník a pánovi starostovi za celoročnú podporu, aj za to, že nás prišiel pozrieť.

Ďakujeme nášmu hlavnému premietačovi Miškovi Jančovičovi.

Ďakujeme "deckám" pri časomiere (tento rok tuším netrafili ani nikoho do hlavy).

Ďakujeme našej zdravotníčke Miške Dinušovej (dokonca aj za umytie tatami).

Ďakujeme všetkým, ktorí pomohli rozkladať, nakladať, skladať žinenky, ktorí vozili veci, lepili smerovky, registrovali účastníkov, nosili papiere na toalety...

Ďakujeme mamičkám, ktoré napiekli torty, muffiny a iné dobroty pre našich pomocníkov.

A ďakujem aj dobrým dušiam, ktoré strážili našu najmenšiu judistku.

Boli sme jeden veľký skvelý tím, ste úžasní!

A najviac nás na tom všetkom teší to, že boli ochotné pomáhať aj naše decká/mládež. Že sa na nich môžeme na 100% spoľahnúť, že im nič nebolo zaťažko a že to robili radi. Sú to úžasní mladí ľudia a je nám cťou s nimi spolupracovať.

Tento rok sme už museli pristúpiť k obmedzeniu počtu účastníkov a to vylúčením skúsenejších judistov, ktorí mali v deň našej súťaže medzinárodnú súťaž v Bratislave. Aj napriek tomu sme u nás privítali 117 judo rytierov začiatočníkov z 8 judoklubov (do žltého opasku). Náš judoklub reprezentovalo 26 judistov na žinenke a zhruba rovnaký počet judistov, ktorí pomáhali s organizáciou.

Budúci rok už snáď budeme môcť vyskúšať novú súťažnú plochu v novej telocvični ZŠ, lebo ako povedal náš pán starosta: "Máme malý kulturák" a budúci rok by sme sa už fakt báli, že by deti museli súťažiť aj vonku na tráve a možno ani tam by nebolo dosť miesta.

Kinosálu tam síce mať nebudeme, ale veď my už niečo vymyslíme. Veď keď sa chce, všetko sa dá.

ENGLISH: Judo Knights of Rohožník 2023

Will it happen, won’t it happen, will it happen… That’s more or less how things looked with this year’s Judo Knights of Rohožník tournament. But in the end, it proved true once again: when there’s a will, there’s a way. And we are incredibly happy that so many people wanted it to happen.

We are grateful to the coaches from neighboring judo clubs who called me to say that, after last year, their kids were really looking forward to coming and that we absolutely shouldn’t cancel this year’s edition. Even better, they offered their help—not only to bring their teams but also to step in as referees. Together, everyone created a wonderful, friendly atmosphere. No shouting, no arguing—just people doing their best to help wherever they could.

Thanks to our great friends who dusted off their referee badges and knowledge (and discovered that there’s no more koka or yuko in the rules). In the end, it even seemed like they enjoyed it! Thanks to Lenka Bies-Piváčková for handling the announcer’s desk so brilliantly, and to Maroš Hvolko for assisting her all day and providing technical support throughout the event.

Thanks to the coaches from other clubs who helped with the draws and refereeing.
Thanks to Ivo Raška and Katka Kubišová for taking care of our kids and standing with each of them on the tatami—I know how much that kind of support means to the children.
Thanks to the buffet crew—for keeping us fed and hydrated, and even raising some extra money for the kids.

And thanks to the kind souls who watched over our youngest judoka.

We were one big amazing team—you are all incredible!

What makes us happiest of all is that our own kids and youth were also eager to help. We could rely on them 100%. Nothing was too much trouble, and they helped with genuine joy. They are amazing young people, and it is an honor to work alongside them.

This year, we already had to limit the number of participants by excluding the more experienced judokas, who had an international competition in Bratislava on the same day. Even so, we welcomed 117 beginner judo knights (up to yellow belt) from 8 clubs. Our own club was represented by 26 judokas on the tatami and about the same number helping with the organization.

Next year, we hope to finally use the new competition area in the new elementary school gym. As our mayor said: “Our culture hall is too small,” and next year we might really fear that the kids would have to compete outside on the grass—and maybe not even that would be enough space.

There may not be a cinema hall in the new gym, but we’ll figure something out. Because when there’s a will, there’s always a way.
